What does bitwise deterministic training mean?
Bitwise determinism means repeated runs under a fixed recipe, hardware, software and parallelism produce identical numerical states, including after checkpoint resume. It does not imply that the result will be bitwise identical across different GPUs or configurations, or that the model is high quality.
