Why are word timestamps useful?
Word timestamps associate recognized words with positions in the recording. A support team could use them to jump to a disputed phrase or align a transcript with audio. Timestamps do not prove that the words were recognized correctly, so listeners need a way to review uncertain or consequential segments.
