What does ReplaySSM store?
ReplaySSM represents recurrent state as a checkpoint plus a buffer of recent inputs. Outputs are computed from that representation while checkpoint updates happen periodically. This separates work needed for the current output from work needed to preserve history, reducing repeated writes of the full state.
